Important Announcement for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Year Students (Introduction to Medicine Practices)

According to Article 17 of the “Gazi University Faculty of Medicine Turkish and English Program Undergraduate Education, Teaching and Examination Regulation”, approved by the Gazi University Senate with decision number 2022/317:

“In the 1st, 2nd and 3rd years, students must obtain a raw score of 70 in the end-of-year examination of Introduction to Medicine Practices. Students who fail to obtain a raw score of 70 are not allowed to take the year-end examination.”

The weighting percentages of the small-group components included in Introduction to Medicine Practices were discussed in the Coordinators’ Boards and approved by the Faculty Board.

Accordingly, the “2025–2026 Academic Year Introduction to Medicine Practices Weighting Percentages” will be applied as follows:

1st Year:

• Communication Skills: 20%

• Clinical Skills Training: 30%

• Problem-Based Learning: 20%

• Evidence-Based Medicine: 10%

• Critical Thinking and Art: 20%

2nd Year:

• Communication Skills: 20%

• Clinical Skills Training: 35%

• Problem-Based Learning: 35%

• Evidence-Based Medicine: 10%

3rd Year:

• Communication Skills: 25%

• Clinical Skills Training: 35%

• Problem-Based Learning: 30%

• Evidence-Based Medicine: 10%
