According to the Regulation on Undergraduate Education and Examination of the Turkish and English Programs of the Faculty of Medicine at Gazi University, the Student Development Examinations for the academic year 2023-2024 will be administered to all classes.

The Development Examination is a relative measurement exam in which all students in all terms take the exam simultaneously with the same questions. It provides data showing the progress students have made during their medical education and their position within their own term. Participation is optional.

The scores of the Development Examination are added to the committee scores upon the student's request, as stated in Article 17, Paragraph 9 of the Regulation on Undergraduate Education and Examination of the Turkish and English Programs of the Faculty of Medicine at Gazi University, or added to the final internship success grade.

In the relative evaluation of the Development Examinations according to terms, 5% of the score received by the student out of 100 is used to evaluate the committee average in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades, while it is added to the committee scores to calculate the average. In the 4th and 5th grades, it is added to a final internship success grade chosen by the student. However, according to the decisions taken by the relevant boards, successful completion of the final internship exam in the preferred internship by the student is required.
