ANNOUNCEMENT FOR STUDENTS OF THE ENGLISH PROGRAM!

According to Article 8, Paragraph 1 of the Gazi University Associate and Undergraduate Education and Examination Regulations: "Each student must complete their course enrollment process within the period specified in the academic calendar and renew their registration for the relevant semester. Students who fail to renew their registration within the specified period cannot attend courses or take exams for that semester." Additionally, according to Paragraph 5, students must obtain their semester/year course registration approval from their advisor. In accordance with the regulations, all students must complete their course registration and approval for the 2024-2025 SPRING semester between February 3-5, 2025. (International students who have exceeded the normal study period of six years and do not have a scholarship must first pay their tuition fees before completing their online course selection and approval process.)

  • Fifth- and sixth-year students, as well as non-scholarship international students, are only required to pay their tuition fees and are not required to complete any additional registration or approval process. Their approval from the Fall semester will remain valid. However, failure to pay the tuition fee will result in the cancellation of their existing course registrations.
  • Since advisor approval cannot be granted without prior student approval, students must first select the required courses for their respective year as follows:
    • 1st-year students: TAR-102 (History), TD-102 (Turkish Language), ENG-104 (English), ADS-101 (Nonvocational Elective), SSP-102 (Social Responsibility Projects and Student Practices)
    • 2nd-year students: MEN-202 (English) and one elective course from the second year
    • 3rd-year students: MEN-302 (English) and one elective course from the third year
    • 4th-year students: MEN-402 (English)

  • After completing the first step of course registration, students must proceed with the second step by approving their registration.
  • Class Coordinators are responsible for granting advisor approval only for students who have completed their registration approval.

All students are required to check their transcripts and, if necessary, register for any elective or 5(i) courses they have failed or have not taken from previous years.

Failure to complete the two-step approval process will result in students losing their student rights, including the inability to take exams, which may lead to loss of time in their academic progress.

This is an important announcement.
